Interested in a SW District Haiti Mission Trip?

Upon my recent return from my 20th plus mission trip to Haiti, Rodney asked me to give thought to organizing and leading a district work/mission team to Haiti.  I asked him to only twist my arm once!  This mission trip would be a resurrection of the effort once sponsored by the former Camden District to the village of Pignon, Haiti and the support work of the Pignon Hospital.

Over the past 20 years I have led several hundred volunteers on a life changing trip to this country I now refer to as my second home.

To see if there is an interest in a SW District mission trip to Haiti, I would like first to see how many clergy might be interested in going, or at least in knowing more about the trip.  The cost per person is in the area of $ 1,400.  Project and material cost for a week-long trip runs around $2,000.    It has been my experience, when presented to one’s church, that they are excited about helping with the expenses of such a mission trip using budgeted funds or money from special fund raisers.

Currently there are two suggested dates – October 2016 and January 2017.

Our projects include hospital maintenance, working in local schools, and other efforts focused on making disciples for Christ.   If you are interested in this mission project, first as a clergy missionary participant, then please contact me as soon as possible to discuss the details.
